week 3 of build: 2

I started off the day by having a discussion over the window in Gregors room, no one was sure who was supposed to be making it, I had obviously not made it clear when it came to giving out tasks, Adam had said the day before that he would do it but Karen in the morning said she would so he started helping Sarah distress her table, unfortunately Karen was unable to do it so I and Hannah volunteered to take on the task, we decided that because it was in Gregors room and no one would really see it under the stuff on the wall we would simply make the frame. Karen's windows are very decorative but ours would be plane, we used Karen's as a base for ideas and tried asking Henry and in the end we asked Simon for advice, the tricky bit would be re measuring the angle of the window at the top and then making it all fit together. We had quite a few problems getting it all to fit together and in the end after getting the wood stuck in the opening we screwed it straight on to the flats, it was the only solution we could find as we couldn't get the wood back out. When finished there were gaps but these could be covered, the gaps were due the the fact that the frame itself is slightly off so when putting in the wood it wouldn't have fitted even if we had made a frame and slide it in.
while we were doing this Stuart carried on with the doors, Emma and Eleanor distress my chair just like Stuart had his door, Adam and Sarah work on the table. They make huge rip lines in the surface and work at it with a wire brush, once they have finished this Sarah varnished the table. The henry comments that though the table looks very good it doesn't look old and with a bit of black paint smudged in the corners he ages it. Every one else who is in carried on with their work such as the walls in the bedroom which has another coat of paint and the fire places which needs painting black.
